“I am a pre-candidate for the Senate to defend our beloved Paraná. And to advance our country project, with total priority for the development of Brazil and increasingly better living conditions for the Brazilian people”, wrote Gleisi on social media.

She recalled that she spent a year at SRI and cited measures such as exemption from Income Tax (IR) for those earning up to R$5,000, Gás do Povo and the Pé-de-Meia program. “The minimum wage and family income had a real increase, unemployment is the lowest in history and the country is growing again”, he added.
Initially, Gleisi was not going to run for any position in these elections, but she responded to a request from President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva in an attempt to guarantee a greater base for the PT in the Senate, where the current government is facing difficulties. Gleisi and more than a dozen other ministers had to resign from their positions this week to contest the October election. The deadline for non-compatibilization ends this Saturday, the 4th.
