O has just entered the health sector with his new company Estimar, focused on health, well-being and home support, in a sector that is growing rapidly in Portugal.

With an increasingly aging population and a growing demand for home care solutions, home support has emerged as one of the areas with the greatest potential for growth in the coming years.

In an interview with Postal, Ricardo Mariano explains the vision behind this new project.

With Estimar, the Timing Group thus reinforces its diversification strategy and positions itself in one of the most relevant sectors of the next decade

Q – Why did you decide to move into this area?

R – There is a clear need in the market. More and more people need support, but want to stay in their homes. And many families do not find structured, professional and trustworthy answers. That’s what led us to move forward. We currently have 14 companies in the Timing Group and they all have a very well-defined purpose.

Q – What services are already available?

R – We are currently providing nursing, physiotherapy and psychology services at home, among other specialties.

We have provided specialized training and in this new store we have hospital, mobility, hygiene and consumable equipment.

These are critical areas with great demand.

Q – And the next step?

R – We are preparing a strong entry into home support. We want to build a complete response, which supports people continuously and with stability in the teams that visit those who trust us on a daily basis.

Q – What are the biggest challenges in this sector?

R – The main thing is to guarantee quality teams, without a doubt. It’s not enough to grow, you have to grow well. We are talking about caring for people, often in sensitive situations.

Today I can no longer take care of my grandmother, but knowing that we can take care of other people’s grandmothers makes me happy.

Q – How do you guarantee this quality?

R – With rigorous selection, training and constant monitoring. And with a very strong culture of responsibility. Having Timing in our business group helps a lot. I have very good people by my side.

Q – What differentiates Estimar from other companies?

R – Our experience in human resources management and the know-how that the team has. We are able to recruit, train and structure teams quickly and with quality. This is critical in this industry, as everyone knows. We are talking about people who enter our clients’ homes. You need to be careful and have a great sense of responsibility in this activity.

Q – What is Ricardo Mariano’s ambition for this new company?

R – We want to be a reference in Faro and the Algarve in a short space of time. And, after that, expand to other regions.

With my colleague Mónica, who I thank for her commitment to this project, we have already talked about franchising. We’ll see.

Q – This project also has a social aspect, right?

R – Undoubtedly. We are working directly on people’s quality of life. This brings added responsibility, but also a very strong purpose.

With Estimar, the Timing Group reinforces its diversification strategy and positions itself in one of the most relevant sectors of the next decade, combining business growth with social impact.

I invite all Farenses to visit us. We are in front of the south stand of the Farense stadium.
