Erdogan says ending Iran-Israel-US war requires global efforts

In a post on X, the president of Türkiye assesses that the scenario triggered by the attacks on Iranians generated a ‘geostrategic impasse’

O Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, talked by telephone with the Secretary General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (Otan), Mark Rutteto address topics related to the alliance, as well as regional and global issues.

Em post no X, Erdogan assesses that the scenario triggered by the attacks on Iran generated a “geostrategic impasse” and called for the international community to “intensify efforts” to end the conflict. The Turkish president also highlighted the importance of NATO’s support for his country’s air defense, stating that solidarity between members reinforces the Alliance’s deterrent power.

O Turkish leader also highlighted the country’s initiatives to promote a peaceful solution for the war between Ukraine and Russia. During the conversation, Erdogan mentioned NATO’s 77th anniversary and expressed expectations that the organization’s next summit, scheduled for July 7 and 8 in Ankara, will result in decisions that strengthen the Alliance’s resilience and effectiveness in the face of future challenges.
