Simony’s daughter opens up after her mother’s cancer remission

Pyetra Benelli19, daughter of the singer Simony, 49, paid tribute to his mother on social media after she announced her cancer was in complete remission on Wednesday (1st). In a shared text, the young woman revealed her fear of losing her.

“Years ago, you, and since that moment I have never been the same. The fear of losing you took over me and my heart began to feel apprehensive, as if at any moment something could take you away. There were days, nights, thoughts and silent prayers, asking for just one thing, to have you with me for longer”, she began.

Pyetra added: “Today, in remission, it’s like breathing again after so long without air, it’s feeling your heart calm down after so much anguish. Today, finally, I can sleep in peace and wake up relieved, with the certainty that I will still have you by my side, smiling, advising me and being my strength.”

“You are a warrior woman, who was a mother and a father at the same time, who faced pain, fears and difficulties without ever giving up. You taught me how to live, you showed me what strength, courage and true love are. Even in yours, you found the strength to lift me up, care for me and teach me to never give up”, added the young woman.

“Being your daughter is a privilege, it is a merit that I carry with pride every day. The woman I am today exists because of your teachings, your example and the immense love you have always given me”, she added.

In the comments, the singer thanked one of her daughters for the loving messages: “I love you so much. I’m your fan too.” Simony is also mom to Ryan, 24, Aysha, 22, and Anthony, 10.

The singer has already said that during her treatment — carried out when the tumor grew again after the first attempt –, she was very injured and lost all the hair on her body, including her hair and eyelashes. The second initiative worked and Simony went into remission in 2023.

Simony was diagnosed with bowel cancer in 2022, and in January 2023, she announced that the cancer was in remission. After the positive results, she began undergoing immunotherapy treatment, which lasted for around three years.
