Donald Trump announced this Sunday that the US Army has rescued the crew member of the F15 fighter shot down this Friday by Iran. The president of the United States has reported that his whereabouts were unknown in Iranian territory, after “He suffered some injuries, but he will be fine,” has confirmed in a statement on his social networks, in which he has advanced some details of one of the “most audacious search and rescue operations in the history” of the United States.
The fighter’s crew member, “a highly respected colonel,” according to the president, is now “safe and sound,” after spending almost two days behind enemy lines “in the treacherous mountains of Iran.” The American magnate has clarified that the soldier since the Army has monitored his position throughout that time.
“The United States Armed Forces sent dozens of aircraft, armed with the most lethal weapons in the world, to get him back,” he assured, then emphasizing that “they will never” abandon an American soldier.
Likewise, Trump has indicated that this operation is in addition to the successful rescue of the other pilot who was traveling with the colonel in the aircraft on the same Friday, which the United States had not confirmed until now so as not to jeopardize the second rescue operation.
“This is the first time in military history that two American pilots have been rescued, separately, in the depths,” said the president, who has expressed pride in the “most professional and lethal Armed Forces in history.”
For Trump, the fact that the Army was able to carry out these two operations “without a single American being killed or wounded” shows that The United States has achieved “overwhelming” dominance and air superiority over Iran’s airspace.
After learning of his situation, Iranian authorities also organized their own search operation in the province of Kohgiluyé and Buyer Ahmad, in southwestern Iran, in the area where it is believed that the second American crew member may have fallen.going so far as to offer a reward for whoever manages to capture or kill the crew of the downed fighter.
A 48 hour ultimatum
Trump warns: “Time is running out.” This Saturday, the president warned the Iranian authorities that the ultimatum he has given to Tehran to completely reopen the Strait of Hormuz or agree to an agreement to end the war will expire within two days.
“Do you remember when I gave Iran ten days to reach an agreement or open the Strait of Hormuz? Well, time is running out: 48 hours left before he unleashes hell on them“Trump said in a message published on his Truth Social platform.
Trump’s message this Saturday stands out in particular for the marked religious aspect that he has introduced. To his traditional warning about the possibility of “unleashing Hell”, Trump has finished his comment, taking advantage of the farewell message
The threat from the president of the United States occurs at the end of a week in which Iran has ruled out agreeing on a provisional ceasefire with the United States although its authorities have clarified that they would be willing to negotiate a “definitive and lasting” end, in the words of their Foreign Minister this Saturday, Abbas Araqchi.
