US special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner may visit Kiev in April, the Ukrainian president’s top adviser, Kirill Budanov, said today, as efforts continue to revive peace talks with Russia that have stalled since the Gulf War broke out.
“Kushner, Witkoff, (Sen.) Lindsey Graham — they’re expected to come. Who else will be there, we’ll see,” Budanov told Bloomberg, adding that the visit could take place shortly after the Orthodox Easter on April 12.
This will be the first official visit to Kiev by Witkov and Kushner, who have so far traveled to Moscow for talks with the Russians but are meeting with Ukrainian representatives in the US.
