After an Easter with sun and temperatures above what is normal for this time of year, rain is back in most districts of the continent.
It is from this Monday onwards that temperatures will begin to drop, “due to the influence of a depression that will center to the west of the continent, moving south, and that will remain during the week between the Madeira archipelago and mainland Portugal”, informs the .
For this Tuesday, the return of rain and increase in cloudiness “on the coast of the southern region”.
IPMA forecasts indicate that “rainfall will be more intense and frequent on the 7th, and may be accompanied by thunderstorms”.
“In addition to precipitation, the parameter with the greatest impact on this meteorological situation will be the sharp drop in maximum temperature values, also predicted for the 7th, in which the drop could reach up to 10°C in some places in the territory and in this way we will have the majority of the territory with maximum temperature values below 20°C”, can be read in the IPMA statement.
For Monday there is still dust forecast. “These tend to be moved eastwards from the afternoon of the 7th, transported in the circulation of the aforementioned depression”, points out the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere.
