The Minister of the Federal Supreme Court, Alexandre de Moraes, and his family have increased their real estate assets by 266% since March 2017. According to a survey carried out by EstadãoMoraes and his wife, Viviane Barci, own 17 properties, which together reach the amount of R$31.5 million.
The information is contained in property purchase contracts registered with a notary’s office, analyzed by the newspaper. The amount is the result of the sum of nominal values paid by the couple when acquiring the goods.
Moraes and Viviane together owned 12 properties valued at R$8.6 million when former president Michel Temer appointed the minister to the STF.
Since Moraes became minister of the Supreme Court, the law firm managed by Viviane started to work on more cases being processed in higher courts, jumping from 27 to 152.
According to the survey, the couple’s most significant wealth jump occurred in 2021. Since then, the couple has already disbursed R$23.4 million, equivalent to 67% of all investments in the real estate market over almost 30 years.
The most expensive property in the couple’s portfolio is a mansion in Brasília, measuring 776 m², acquired in 2025 with a market value of R$12 million.

The majority of property acquisition and sale operations were carried out through Lex Instituto de Estudos Jurídicas, a company used to manage the family’s assets, with Viviane and her two children as partners.
Moraes’ family assets gained prominence after developments in the investigation against Daniel Vorcaro, owner of Banco Master, revealed that Viviane’s office had a contract with the bank worth R$129 million to provide services for three years.
The Barci de Moraes office provided consultancy and legal services to the bank between February 2024 and November 2025, a period in which they held 94 meetings, 79 of which were at Master’s headquarters.
During this period, the team of lawyers produced 36 legal opinions and legal opinions for Vorcaro’s bank. However, in a note the office has already stated.
