PL President says Bolsonaro will be in prison for 10 years – 04/07/2026 – Politics

The national president of , , said this Tuesday (7) that, if the party does not win the 2026 presidential election, the former president (PL) will continue to be detained for another ten years. The speech took place during a Bradesco BBI investment event, in São Paulo.

Valdemar made the statement when commenting on what he called “friendly fire” within the acronym. The former federal deputy has been at odds with the federal deputy from Minas Gerais — last weekend, there was new friction between the two on social media.

The PL leader praised Nikolas, calling him the “greatest phenomenon” in the country, and stated that he will talk to each one.

“On the 19th I’m going to Miami to meet Eduardo. Talk to each one, so that we don’t have any disagreements. So that we can make sure everything goes well. Because, if we don’t win the election, Bolsonaro will spend another ten years in prison.”

For Valdemar, the 2022 presidential election was lost due to strategic details and Bolsonaro’s “stubbornness”, specifically citing the choice of vice president, the general, and the management of the pandemic.

During this Tuesday’s event, Valdemar assessed that the composition of the previous government made political management difficult. “Bolsonaro had a lot of military personnel at the beginning of his government and this disrupted his life.”

For the next election, he suggests a change of direction in choosing the vice president for (PL), defending a female presence. “I am in favor of having a woman as vice-president. Women have grown a lot in Brazil and are much better than men in all aspects.”

Regarding the party’s new alliances, the PL president admitted that he must seek alliances with old opponents to win in the Northeast, a region he classified as the party’s “disaster” in 2022.

The main target is Ceará, where Valdemar sees () as the only path to victory. “There is only one citizen who can beat the PT in Ceará: it is Mr. Ciro Gomes.”

The director stated that he had already withdrawn legal proceedings against the pedestrian to facilitate the agreement: “We have to give up on this, leave these disagreements behind.”

In Minas Gerais, Valdemar bets on Nikolas and said that he barred entry into the party from those interested in taking a ride on the vote that the parliamentarian will have. “We had to say no to eight-term deputies. Because everyone wants to join the party, Nikolas’s vote will be very high.”
