Iran shot down an Israeli drone a few hours after the ceasefire: A dire warning to the world!

On Wednesday, Iranian forces shot down an Israeli Hermes drone flying over the city of Lar in the south of the country. The Iranian Revolutionary Guards informed about it a few hours after the truce with the United States and Israel. TASR informs about it with reference to AFP and Sky News television.

“A few minutes ago, a Hermes 900 drone was intercepted and destroyed by fire from a modern air defense system of the Revolutionary Guards over the city of Lár in Fars province,” it is stated in the statement, which was reported by the state television IRIB.

“The entry of any type of hostile American or Zionist aircraft into the country’s airspace, even if it is not conducting military operations, is considered a violation of the ceasefire and we will respond strongly to it,” alerted the guards.

After the announcement of the ceasefire on Wednesday night there have already been several violations of it. Tehran reported an attack on a refinery on the island of Lavan, which is used by Iran to export its oil and oil products. Tehran subsequently according to state television during the day attacked Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Qatar. Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, whose country is mediating the conflict, said he had reports of ceasefire violations, which he said undermined the spirit of the peace process.

Iran’s Tasnim news agency, citing its sources, reported that Iran may stop observing the ceasefire in case of continued Israeli attacks on Lebanon. Tehran insists that the ceasefire also applies to the country, where Israel is waging a war against the Hezbollah militant group. Israel and US President Donald Trump say otherwise, with the Israeli military carrying out the biggest attack on Lebanon since the start of the current war on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the Fars agency reported that the passage of tankers through the Strait of Hormuz was suspended due to Israel’s violation of the ceasefire.
