Parliamentarians from the base of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) delivered this Tuesday (7) an alternative report from the INSS CPMI to the director general of the Federal Police, Andrei Rodrigues. According to the deputy leader of the government in Congress, federal deputy Paulo Pimenta (PT-RS), the opinion was made by two thirds of the members of the commission, which, according to the parliamentarian, represents “an express majority position”.

According to Pimenta, the report, which has more than a thousand pages, details the changes that took place from 2016 onwards and that allowed the INSS scandal to come to light. “The same INSS board that changed the internal rules that made it possible to steal from retirees was the board that changed the rules to allow Bolso Master (a reference to former president Jair Bolsonaro and Banco Master) to have access to payroll loans and other mechanisms for bank fraud.”

O The report was also taken to the General Comptroller of the Union (CGU) and the Federal Public Ministry (MPF). This Wednesday (08), deputies must deliver the document to the minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), André Mendonça, rapporteur of the investigations into fraud, at 7 pm.

The alternative opinion proposes the indictment of 130 people for alleged involvement in the scheme of illegal discounts on social security benefits and the continuation of investigations with signs of crime involving 71 people. ANDAmong the targets of the document are former president Jair Bolsonaro and his son Flávio, the owner of Banco Master, Daniel Vorcaro, and the former Minister of Labor, Onyx Lorenzoni.

During a press conference at the Federal Police headquarters in Brasília, Paulo Pimenta stated that, during the preparation of the document, the intelligence command was identified that allowed the appointment of people in key positions, changes in rules and provisional measures.

Still according to Pimenta, the president of the CPMI would also have sabotaged the majority report: “The president of CPMI, Senator Viana, sabotaged the majority report, did not put it to a vote and did not attach it to the documents to be sent to the body.”
