Big political surprise: Harris may be shuffling her cards again

Former US Vice President Kamala Harris said on Friday that she is considering another presidential run. TASR informs about it according to the NBC News report. At the National Action Network conference in New York, the Reverend Al Sharpton asked Harris if she would run again in 2028. “Look, maybe I will. I’m thinking about it,” she replied. Many in attendance began chanting “Run again” in response.

“Let me also say this: for four years I served you just a short distance from the office of the President of the United States. I know what the job is like and I know what it takes,” she continued.

The former vice-president said in an interview for BBC television in October that she does not rule out a re-candidacy for the presidency. According to her words, she had not yet made the decision to apply for this position, but she rejected claims that she would have little chance of success.

Harris ran for the Democratic Party in the 2024 election when former President Joe Biden dropped out of the race against Donald Trump three months before the election. Harris lost them, and Republican Donald Trump became president.

Harris had the shortest presidential campaign in modern US history. It lasted 107 days, which is also the title of her memoir. In the book, she accuses Biden’s team of not supporting her when she was vice president. She held this post as the first woman and at the same time the first American of black and Asian descent.
