Writer Alice Vieira, 83, recently revealed that she maintains an unusual daily coffee consumption, stating that she drinks around 20 coffees a day without feeling any negative effects, a situation that, according to her, was evaluated by a doctor. The revelation was made during a public conversation, where he explained that this pattern of consumption does not interfere with sleep or daily functioning, contrary to what would be expected under normal circumstances.
It was on the podcast that the writer shared that she continues to maintain this high caffeine intake even at the end of the day. “I continue drinking 20 coffees a day. And the last one is right before bed,” he said, describing a behavior he considers habitual in his daily life.
Alice Vieira guarantees that coffee does not produce visible effects on your body, particularly in terms of rest. “One day, they took me to the doctor and he asked if I was sleeping. I said yes and he told me to continue”, she reported, explaining that she was not advised to reduce consumption.
The medical explanation
It is important to highlight that the explanation given for this situation is related to the way the body reacts to caffeine. “It’s because my body absorbs the coffee immediately,” he said, pointing to a different physiological response than most people. The 83-year-old writer also highlights that she never puts sugar in her coffee.
In addition to coffee, the writer highlighted that there is another aspect of her body that she considers unusual, related to alcohol consumption. According to her, she has never experienced the effects of drunkenness throughout her life.
The reaction to alcohol
“But something else that’s even better happens to me, which is alcohol. I’ve never been drunk in my life because my body absorbs the alcohol immediately,” he explained. This description reinforces the idea that your body reacts differently to substances that, in general, have known effects on the majority of the population.
