Politeness also needs to be heard
The Slovak opposition can get excited about the “drive” of Pétro Magyar, who grew into a capable leader in the accelerated regime. At the same time, he did not resist learning from Orbán’s marketing. Using something from Robert Fico is really hard and useless. His opponents must remain more decent and honest than he is.
They can learn perhaps only one thing: whatever they do and say, let it be political through and through and directed in favor of future victory. Their politeness cannot be anxious and painstaking in the style of shy teenagers, and their honesty condescending.
The main Hungarian ingredient could already be felt just before the elections on the banks of the Danube. The streets literally trembled in anticipation of the change. That’s exactly the point! At the moment, Robert Fico’s pro-East policy is a strong enough reason for all pro-Western Slovaks (beware, there are still a majority of them) to reject Fico’s games en masse and loudly.
Or was our stay in the Hungarian monarchy too short for us to learn from the Hungarians at least bits of temperament in controlling compromised rulers and subsequently throwing them out of their seats?
