You can’t build new hotels in Vienna so quickly at the moment that they won’t be almost fully booked by the time of the song contest. The best example at the moment: “The Companion”, which has just opened opposite the Westbahnhof. The house not only has the ideal location within walking distance of the Stadthalle, which will host the ESC Song Contest 2026, it is also comparatively cheap by Viennese standards: the dynamic pricing currently reaches double room prices from 149 euros. “We still have a few rooms available for the ESC,” says Michael Todt, the hotel manager.
