“As far as we know, the vast majority of people manage to find a job”: This was the answer STANDARD received from the office of City Councilor for Social Affairs Peter Hacker when asked how those entitled to subsidiary protection should make ends meet after the radical cut in minimum income. Anyone who belongs to this group, which Austria did not recognize as refugees but nevertheless accepted, will only receive 425 instead of 1209 euros per month as an individual in Vienna this year.
