The governor (Republicans) decided to change the general command of the de and will appoint a woman to the post for the first time in almost two centuries of the corporation’s history. The chosen one is Colonel Glauce Anselmo Cavalli.
“Colonel Glauce has built a solid career in the Military Police, with excellent training, recognized leadership and extensive experience in operational, strategic and management roles,” said the governor.
According to him, the officer was chosen because she stood out in her training and career. The governor also stated that the appointment “is an important step forward in increasing the female presence in leadership positions in the state.”
The new general commander has a master’s and doctorate in Police Security and Public Order Sciences, as well as a degree in Law from Universidade Cruzeiro do Sul and Physical Education from the PM’s School of Physical Education.
She was in charge of the PM Logistics Directorate. Previously, he led the Metropolitan Area 2 Policing Command, was head of the Legal Affairs Coordination of the General Command and the PM’s Social Communication Center, among other functions.
She will succeed the colonel
The governor thanked him “for his dedication and relevant services provided in command of the corporation”.
