Videos from 2022 are circulating again; carioca was mentioned by Elisa Lucinda at the inauguration of Margareth Menezes as Minister of Culture
The Federal Police’s operation against drug trafficking brought back into circulation, on social media, a series of videos in which artists demonstrate support for the president (PT).
The images show public demonstrations by the two during the 2022 electoral campaign and after the PT victory. Poze’s name has also appeared at a government event: at the inauguration of the Minister of Culture, the actress sang the song “The Face of Crime (We Bother)”.
Ryan SP appears in one of the videos in a swimming pool, alongside other people, apparently celebrating the election results. In the recording, it says: “You won, yes. Hey, Lula, we’ve got a barbecue to make, huh, Lula. Hey, barbecue, picanha, barbecue”.
Poze do Rodo appears on a show, still during the campaign, making a gesture of support for the then candidate and stating: “Each person chooses what they want to be, and I’m Lula, damn it. Just one chat, and whoever closes with me sings like this, look: PT will work, it will work”.
Poze do Rodo was also mentioned at the inauguration of the Minister of Culture, Margareth Menezes. During the ceremony, actress Elisa Lucinda gave a speech and sang the song “The Face of Crime (We Bother)”from the funk player’s repertoire.
The 2 were arrested during the investigation, which investigates the activities of a criminal organization linked to drug trafficking and money laundering. The operation targets financial transactions and the connection between artists and members of the investigated group. According to authorities, there is evidence that shows and contracts have been used to circulate illicit resources.
Before his arrest, Ryan SP had published on social media that he was the most listened to artist in Brazil on Spotify during the week. After police action, the singer’s account was deactivated.
