This phenomenon, known as “vibe coding”, consists of creating software based on commands in natural language, with the AI ​​itself being responsible for generating the code. The practice has been gaining scale: industry data indicates that 63% of users of these tools are not programmers.

For artificial intelligence specialist Breno Lobato, this change represents a paradigm shift within organizations. “Innovation is no longer a process centered on technology and is now in the hands of those who really understand the problem”, he states.

Adoption is already significant in the corporate environment. Estimates indicate that 87% of Fortune 500 companies use at least one platform of this type, while projections indicate that by the end of 2026 around 60% of all new code will be generated by artificial intelligence.

More autonomy and speed in innovation

In practice, the impact is direct on the speed and autonomy of teams. Professionals who previously depended on long internal processes to develop solutions can now create prototypes in a few hours, test ideas and validate demands before even involving the technology area.

“What is happening is a reversal of logic. Before, innovation passed through a funnel that It started in the business and ended in IT. Now, the business itself arrives with tested solutions, and technology is coming in to scale”, explains Breno Lobato.

The rise of “micro apps”

The movement has also driven the creation of so-called “micro apps”, applications developed to solve specific everyday problems. These projects would often not be included in the priority list of technology departments, but are made possible by those who directly experience the demands.

Global companies are already reporting significant gains from the use of artificial intelligence in internal development. There are cases of significant reduction in tool creation time and savings of thousands of hours of work, reinforcing the potential of technology to increase operational efficiency.

Despite the change, experts highlight that the role of technology areas it doesn’t disappear — it evolves. “IT stops being a bottleneck and becomes an accelerator. Instead of developing from scratch, it receives already validated prototypes and works to guarantee scale, security and robustness”, says Breno Lobato.

With increased access to development tools, the expectation is that the number of people capable of creating digital solutions will grow exponentially in the coming years. This scenario tends to directly impact the competitiveness of companies. “Innovation is no longer exclusive to those who know how to program, it is for those who understand the problem and can transform it into a solution”, concludes the expert.
