The man allegedly took the animal to force the withdrawal of a domestic violence report
A 29-year-old man was taken on Thursday (16) on suspicion of disguising himself with a realistic mask and stealing your ex-girlfriend’s dog in a pet shop in São Paulo.
According to the São Paulo Public Security Secretariat (SSP-SP), the suspect took the animal to force the woman to withdraw a report of domestic violence. The man was arrested for threats, persecution and coercion on Avenida do Rio Pequeno, West Zone of the capital.
The São Paulo Civil Police released images of the moment the man wears a mask to avoid being recognized by pet shop employees, who imitates someone else’s face. The suspect’s name was not released by authorities.
O dog was rescueduninjured, by agents in the suspect’s apartment and returned to the owner.
According to the incident report, the victim, a 34-year-old woman, had been threatened and persecuted by the ex-partner after the end of a relationship.
