A Brazilian women’s team won the Canada 1-0 and won the Fifa Series with 100% success on Saturday night (18). The confrontation took place at Arena Pantanal, in Cuiabá.
The goal that guaranteed the title for the Brazilian team came from Aline Gomes.
The team led by coach Arthur Elias had a positive record and had recent victories against South Korea 5-1 and Zambia 6-1. The achievement was celebrated by the approximately 13 thousand fans present at the stadium.
The first half was disputed, but the match was resolved in the second half, with Aline Gomes’ goal in the first minute. However, Brazil had to hold the contest with one player less after the 35th minute. Ary Borges received a second yellow card and was expelled from the game.
