Gerardo Renault, father of Ana Paula Renault, dies aged 96

Ana Paula Renault’s team communicated this Sunday (19) that the father of the participant of the Big Brother Brasil 26, Gerardo Renault, died at age 96. Through a publication on social media, the journalist’s team reported that the family decided not to notify her so she could remain on the reality show.

. As reported by the portal LeoDiashe had presented a picture of dehydration due to a urinary tract infection.

According to the statement, the desire not to notify Ana Paula came from the journalist’s own father while he was still alive. “It was he who asked [ela] come back [ao BBB]it was he who wanted to see her occupy that place again. And, it is out of love, strength and respect for this desire that the family chose not to remove her from the program”, wrote the participant’s team.

Who was Gerardo Renault?

In addition to Ana Paula, Gerardo Renault had four more children: Gisele, Rene, Cibele and Maria Aparecida, or Cida. Born September 17, 1929, He was a lawyer and built a solid political career in Minas Gerais.

Back to Minas Gerais, ran as vice-president for state government on the ticket headed by Murilo Paulino Badaró and held the presidency of the Pension Institute of the Legislature of the State of Minas Gerais (Iplemg) in successive terms.
