The Civil Police of Maranhão are investigating an alleged case of gang rape against a 17 year old teenager in a state school in Alcântara, in Greater São Luís. The information was confirmed this Monday (21) by the State Department of Education at CNN Brazil.
According to the ministry, the investigation began after an anonymous complaint that the young woman had been a victim of other .
So far, students and family members have already given statements. The teenager was taken to medical care and for tests. You and subpoenaed to testify, and teachers and unit managers must also be heard.
The Civil Police requested the school and other elements that could contribute to the investigation.
The Department of Education also informed that it will send a technical team to the unit this week to continue providing clarifications. Furthermore, the ministry states that psychosocial support will be made available for emotional support to those involved.
