The future Hungarian government plans to publish the files of former secret service agents

The future government of the Hungarian Tisza party will open the files of former secret service agents and move the prime minister’s office. He wants to get closer to people.

The future government of the Hungarian Tisza party will open the files of former secret service agents. President Tisza and future Prime Minister Péter Magyar announced this on Facebook on Thursday, the TASR correspondent in Budapest reports.

In his post, Magyar also stated that the Tiszy Parliamentary Club will not move into the current parliament building near the parliament, which served as the former building of ÁVH (State Protection Office) and MSZMP (Hungarian Socialist Workers’ Party).

Relocation of the prime minister’s office

On April 16, the future prime minister announced the relocation of the prime minister’s office after taking over the government from the premises of the former Carmelite monastery in the historic center of Buda to a ministry building near the parliament on the opposite bank of the Danube. Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s office is located next to the presidential residence – Sándor’s Palace (Sándor-palota). Magyar considers the building that Orbán chose as his seat in 2019 to be a symbol of isolation from people.

Disclosure and return of property

In an interview with the “vslaszonline.hu” server, which was published on Wednesday, the future head of the government office, Bálint Ruff, called the publication of the agents’ files one of his first tasks, along with recovering stolen state property.
