The aircraft carrier sailed on April 23 in the “Indian Ocean area of ​​responsibility of the US military’s Central Command” (CENTCOM), the military said in a post on Platform X. It also released a photo of the ship with military aircraft on board.

A second aircraft carrier (USS Gerald R. Ford) was in the Red Sea on Thursday and a third (USS Abraham Lincoln) is also present in the region, according to CENTCOM posts on social media.

The deployment of the third aircraft carrier in the Middle East occurred despite a cease-fire that halted US-Israeli attacks on Iran. Each of the aircraft carriers sails accompanied by a large group of support warships, writes AFP.
