Presidential candidate Romeu Zema (Novo) made a new post from his video series called “Os Intocáveis” this Saturday (25). In a new video, Zema portrays a call in which Federal Supreme Court (STF) minister Gilmar Mendes asks minister Alexandre de Moraes to include the former Minas Gerais governor in the fake news investigation, which Moraes reports on.

“Don’t you have that Fake News Inquiry that has been open for seven years? Which is where you put everything that you don’t like, irritates you or upsets you emotionally?”, says Gilmar Mendes’ representation to Moraes.

“Of course there is room for another enemy of ours (in the investigation)”, says Moraes’ puppet. “I mean, democracy, of course”, replies Gilmar Mendes’ puppet.

The video also recalls when Gilmar Mendes said that Zema speaks a dialect “close to Portuguese”, when referring to the Minas Gerais accent, as he often does not understand what the former governor means. “Take it off the air (the series ‘Os Intocáveis’) and arrest this Chico Bento from Minas Gerais”, ironizes the video.

This Saturday, Zema had already said that he is considering taking legal action against the minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), Gilmar Mendes, for xenophobic statements. “My legal team, from the party, is evaluating it. It is an offensive, xenophobic speech, which mistreats millions of Brazilians”, said Zema, also this Saturday, in an interview with Itatiaia.

“If he had the opportunity to study in Germany, in Coimbra, congratulations to him. He seems to consider himself, like the untouchables of Brasília, a superior caste. While he is living in luxury, we Brazilians who work are living in garbage”, added Zema.

The former governor’s position comes at a time of tension between the two politicians that began after which portrays the magistrate asking Minister Dias Toffoli to exchange favors amid the Banco Master scandal. After the miner’s posts, Gilmar Mendes sent a representation to minister Alexandre de Moraes on Monday (20) calling for an investigation of the pre-candidate for President. The minister pointed out suspected signs of crime in the publication.
