Carlos Cantero, coach of Casademont Zaragoza, has decided to take maternity leave after his wife, Paula, gave birth to their son, Mateo. The 41-year-old Madrid coach has made this decision “in exercise of his right to suspend the contract due to birth and care of the minor,” as indicated by the club in a statement. Cantero’s loss comes just before the start of the playoffs this Thursday. The law requires parents to take a minimum of six weeks after the birth of the baby.
