Peace in sight! Ukraine extends martial law: These restrictions will apply until August

Ukraine, which has been facing attacks by the Russian army for more than four years, on Tuesday extended the validity of martial law and general mobilization for another 90 days – until the beginning of August. This was reported by the DPA agency, writes TASR. According to media reports, 304 of the total number of 450 deputies voted for both bills submitted by President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Martial law and mobilization were declared practically immediately after the Russian army penetrated the territory of Ukraine on February 24, 2022 and launched its Moscow officially calls a “special military operation” as an offensive on the territory of a neighboring state. Ukraine defends itself in the war with Russia with the help of the West.

Martial law and mobilization are repeatedly extended in Ukraine. As a result, proper presidential and parliamentary elections have not been held there since the outbreak of war. During martial law, men between the ages of 23 and 60 are also not allowed to leave the territory of Ukraine, except in a few cases.
