The governor (Republicans) sent a bill to the Legislative Assembly this Tuesday (28) that readjusts São Paulo’s minimum wage to R$1,874 per month. The new value will come into force as soon as the text is approved by deputies.
The increase is 3.9% compared to the state.
which includes cleaning assistants, cooks, attendants, machine operators, among others.
If the amount of R$ 1,874 is approved by the deputies in the Legislative Assembly of São Paulo (Alesp), the management will accumulate a nominal increase of 46% compared to the minimum wage paid in 2022 — at the time, the minimum wage in São Paulo was R$ 1,284.
“With the new value for São Paulo, we reached R$590 more than what was paid four years ago. An increase that benefits more than 70 categories provided for by law”, said Tarcísio.
In relation to the national minimum wage, today, at R$1,621, the minimum wage in São Paulo will be 15% higher.
