Healthy Easter Roksana Środa - dietitian and participant of the 14th edition "MasterChef" about Easter gluttony. Surprising words from a dietitian
  • Traditional feasting at the grill often ends with stomach upsets due to difficult-to-digest products.
  • A participant of the 14th edition of the culinary show “MasterChef” comes to the rescue by sharing her dietary advice.
  • Just a few proven modifications are enough to eat with taste and avoid the feeling of heaviness after a meal.

The beginning of May is clearly associated with… blissful relaxation and the opening of the season for eating outdoors. For many Poles, a long weekend is an ideal opportunity to feast with loved ones. However, we often lose moderation, choosing food that is heavily burdensome to the digestive system. Pork neck dripping with fat, classic sausages, wheat rolls and mayonnaise additives can effectively spoil our well-being. Such a set is a guarantee of stomach problems, unpleasant heaviness and unwanted weight gain.

How to compose a healthy plate for the May weekend? Roksana Środa advises how to do it

We don’t have to give up taking care of our figure and well-being during spring feasts. According to the Radio Eska portal, Roksana Środa, known from the TV format “MasterChef” and a practicing clinical dietitian, argues that the secret lies in wisely selecting individual elements of the meal on the grill. According to the expert, a properly planned dish can provide a lot of nutritional value and at the same time retain its excellent taste.

Grilling is not the ideal form of preparing food in terms of health, but it is a very pleasant element of tradition that we absolutely do not have to give up. Nevertheless, I encourage you to introduce some more healthy habits and small changes to your grilling that will make you feel lighter. First of all, focus on diversity. We associate grilling with lots of fatty meat and wheat bread, but what if we approached it in a completely different way this year? First of all, introduce vegetables – your favorite salads (e.g. Greek), pickled vegetables or grilled vegetables – this is a portion of fiber and vitamins that will make you feel much better the next day. Secondly, let’s choose not only meat that is fatty. If you like pork neck – that’s fine, don’t give it up, but instead of two pieces, choose one and an additional piece of chicken breast. Of course, eat one sausage as usual, but instead of a helping of it, try skewers with lots of vegetables and lean tenderloin – Roksana Środa tells us.
