Unico, a Brazilian company focused on digital identity and facial biometrics solutions, announces the promotion of Luis Felipe Monteiro to the position of CEO LATAM. The executive, who joined the company in early 2025 as Vice President of Institutional Relations, will now lead the Company’s business throughout Latin America.
The new configuration consolidates in a single leadership the fronts responsible for growth, customer relationships and LATAM institutional operations, reflecting Unico’s moment of expansion and the strategic importance of the region within the Company’s global operation.
With this move, the company seeks to reinforce its integrated execution capacity in key markets such as Brazil, Mexico and Argentina, while at the same time deepening its dialogue with regulators, partners and customers across the region.

Since his arrival at Unico, Luis has been a central player in the company’s institutional articulation, contributing to positioning the company in relevant discussions about digital identity, privacy and security in the Latin American regulatory environment. With the expansion of his responsibilities, he will now lead the relationship with Unico’s strategic clients and the integration of the fronts that support the company’s growth in the region.

With more than 25 years of career, Luis Felipe has extensive experience in the areas of technology, finance and government. The executive began his career leading digitalization projects in the private sector and later migrated to public management to share his expertise. He served as Brazil’s Secretary of Digital Government and the country’s representative at the OECD, having led the creation of Gov.br, which became the largest digital government platform in the world, with more than 160 million users. Currently, in addition to his work at Unico, the executive sits on the board of the Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation.
The announcement demonstrates how Unico continues to invest in people and technology to expand its digital identity platform throughout Latin America.
