Zlatica Švajdová Puškárová is one of the regulars of Markíza television. It’s already been two years since she last appeared in the TV presenter’s chair. Health problems put a stop to her work, so she decided it was time for a new chapter in her career. In an interview for the website, she stated that it has a 14-year cycle. Exactly after such a long time, she finished with Na telo and also with the main news program of the television.
She fully returned to the screens in the summer of 2024 with her own author’s project entitled “Golden talents with Zlatica”. “I felt that I wanted something different because I am such a creative type. I don’t like the complete stereotype and I enjoy it a lot. I meet great people and I’m glad that we make the invisible visible.” shared Puskárová. She enjoys working in the field immensely, and it is clear from the responses of the viewers that she hit the nail on the head with the project.
When asked if she misses her work in the TV studio and if she is thinking about returning, she answered honestly and without hesitation. “You know what, I don’t have this feeling for a second. In addition to everything, we had to split a little, because we wouldn’t be able to moderate TV News and take care of our family,” she explained.
“But some inner feeling that going to sit there in the evening after 14 years doesn’t bind me at all, or I don’t feel that way. As for political discussions, that’s something else, because I have the political side in my DNA, but I manage my time very efficiently and now I feel that it makes a lot more sense for me to focus on talented people than sometimes untalented ones.” Puskárová said eloquently.
