Actor Kristián Baran, who dominated the jubilee tenth series of Let’s Dance alongside Dominika Rošková, is trying this year to defend the title with Eliška Betaková. However, his way to victory complicated by unexpected health problems. He spoke openly about what is currently bothering him in an interview for the portal.
The star of the marquee series Sľub performed two performances in the eighth round alongside her dance partner. First, they enchanted the audience with an emotional contemporary, created under the baton of coaches Genco Berishathen they stirred up the floor dynamic quickstep to the famous hit Puttin’ On the Ritz by Gregory Porter.
Even if Aries performs 100% on the dance floor, in private he fights with his own body. He admitted that the pain is already interfering with his normal day. “It’s a bit of a problem even when walking, but I’m not a whiner,” he pointed out determinedly on the margin of his health.
The problem is mainly the demanding training schedule in combination with other work duties. “It’s been longer, but with no rest and recovery, it’s getting worse and worse with that knee.” stressed Kristián, confirming that he is starting to worry, which may be the cause of his complications.
A professional dancer also took responsibility for the situation. She realizes that health is paramount, so they plan to make the necessary changes in the training process. “We’ll solve it by being smart and taking a day off. We need to find out what exactly is causing these difficulties. We’ll do what we can to fix it. And we’ll see.” she outlined a joint plan.
Although Eliška proposed a radical solution in the form of a short break, the actor realizes that they are under time pressure before the next round and doubted that they could indulge in a day without training at this stage of the competition. “I’ll do my best to set aside three hours to see the physio and see you later.” he said hopefully.
He is not thinking about withdrawing from the competition. It draws its energy mainly from the presence of the audience and the atmosphere of the live broadcast. “The parquet and the stage have such a magical power that all problems will disappear” he explained, the few minutes under the spotlight allowing him to completely forget about his sore knee.
