According to , during the call, Araghchi reported on Iran’s latest diplomatic initiatives “aimed at restoring peace in the region”.

Iran has stopped virtually all shipping coming from the Persian Gulf for over 2 months. In April, the US imposed a blockade on ships entering Iranian ports.
