In charge of Justice, he would also work with the STF to reduce resistance to his name in the Judiciary, paving the way for a second attempt.

The same firefighters, however, have another fire to control: the relationship with the president of the Senate, Davi Alcolumbre, identified behind the scenes at Planalto as one of the main organizers against Messias’ nomination.

In Brasília, a new element fueled the suspense this Monday. A meeting between President Lula and the Minister of Justice and Public Security, Wellington César, scheduled for 3pm at Palácio do Planalto, immediately became a cause for speculation on the Esplanada dos Ministérios and reinforces rumors that a reorganization of the department may be closer than one imagines.
