Registration open for journalist training – 05/04/2026 – New on Folha

Journalists who cover or want to cover politics can sign up for free training that proposes rethinking how the media portrays the participation of black women in institutional politics.

Throughout the training, participants will have contact with tools and references to qualify the investigation and expand the diversity of voices in the news. The proposal is to discuss, in a practical and theoretical way, the frameworks, sources and narratives that are still little explored in political coverage.

The meetings take place from 10am to 5pm in , on May 13th; in , on June 15th; and in , on July 7th. There will also be an online edition, on August 20, 2026, with the same format as the in-person activities and open participation to people from all over Brazil.

Registration is free and is open up to three days before each activity takes place. A certificate will be issued to participants.

The initiative is promoted by the Mulheres Negras Decidem movement, with support from the Ibirapitanga Institute and the Rosa Luxemburgo Foundation.
