Without performing in Atlético-MG, Gustavo Scarpa is out of the club’s plans for the second half of 2026. The board intends to negotiate the midfielder in the next transfer window and, therefore, the athlete will be preserved from matches in the Brazilian Championshipas determined by the Itatiaia report.
The CBF allows players to play up to 12 matches for a club before transferring to another team in Série A in the same edition. Gustavo Scarpa has already played 10 games for Atlético in this Brasileirão. Until the break for the World Cup, Galo has four more games in the tournament.
In this scenario, the management is looking for alternatives to negotiate the player from July 20th, the opening date of the transfer window. On the other hand, Gustavo Scarpa has already expressed his desire to remain at the club. The midfielder has a contract until December 31, 2027.
Eduardo Domínguez’s team still has two more commitments for the South American Championship: they will face Cienciano and Puerto Cabello, on May 21st and 27th, in BH.
