‘Barça wishes to express our affection to Hansi Flick on the passing of his father’, declared Barça
The father of the Barcelona coach, Hansi Flickpassed away hours before the derby against the Catalan club reported this Sunday (10).
“Barcelona and the entire Blaugrana family wish to express our affection to Hansi Flick on the passing of his father,” declared Barça.
“We share your pain and stand by you and your family at this difficult time,” the club added.
Real Madrid also sent their condolences to the coach.
“Real Madrid, its president and board deeply regret the passing of the father of Hansi Flick, Barcelona coach,” the Merengue club wrote in a statement.
“Real Madrid wishes to express its condolences and affection to the family and all their loved ones. Rest in peace”, the statement added.
Flick, 61, will lead Barcelona in the classic that could give the Catalan team a second consecutive Spanish title.
Barça has an 11-point lead over Real Madrid with four rounds remaining in the championship and needs at least a draw to be champion this Sunday.
