The man who from the White House in the United States in April declared himself innocent and attempted murder charge against President Donald Trump. Cole Tomas Allen appeared in federal court in Washington, DC, this Monday (11), where denied guilt on all four counts that you face. The information is from CNN International.

On the 26th, Allen ran past Secret Service agents with loaded firearms e knives. He invaded the place where the annual press eventwhile Trump and senior administration officials were on another floor of the building.

At the hearing, the accused appeared with hands and feet shackledstanding alongside his defense attorney, Eugene Ohm. In addition to the alleged attempt to assassinate the president, Allen was also indicted for assault on a security officer.

During the session, the defense focused on an attempt to remove the US Attorney for the District of Columbia, Jeanine Pirro, and Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche from the prosecution, according to CNN International. The lawyer argued that, as the authorities were present at the dinner, they could be considered targets and victims of the action and, therefore, should be removed from the case. Ohm also added that Pirro should not act in the process because she is “very friendly with Trump”.

The judge responsible for the case, Trevor McFadden — who was appointed by Trump himself — expressed doubts regarding the strategy. He noted that authorities did not witness the incident and said he would be “very surprised” if they were considered victims from a legal perspective.

Allen’s defense has suggested that he will ask for the entire prosecutor’s office to step aside, which the judge called a “pretty bold request.” McFadden ordered prosecutors to present a formal response with a definitive opinion on the inclusion of Pirro and Blanche as victims of the episode.

The next hearing in the case is scheduled for the day June 29.
