Agreement announced this Thursday (14) guarantees the Italian’s permanence for another cycle; coach arrived in May 2025 and has five wins in 10 games
The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) fulfilled its promise to renew the contract with coach Carlo Ancelotti ahead of the final announcement of the World Cup squad, scheduled for Monday 18 May. This Thursday (14), the entity announced an agreement with the Italian until the 2030 World Cup.
“The Brazilian Football Confederation and coach Carlo Ancelotti renewed the contract for another four years, until the 2030 World Cup. Ancelotti’s stay at the helm of the Brazilian team – the greatest champion in the history of world football – reflects not only the CBF’s support for the work carried out by the coach, but also the trust he has gained with the squad and the Brazilian fans since his arrival, at the end of May 2025”, says the statement.

The commander arrived at a time of instability in the Brazilian team and the risk of being absent from the World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico. The work quickly bore fruit and the country secured itself in advance. Ancelotti fell in favor with the fans and managers and shows satisfaction with the recognition.
“A year ago I arrived in Brazil. From the first minute, I understood what football means to this country. For a year now, we have been working to take the Brazilian team back to the top of the world”, he highlighted “But the CBF and I want more. More victories, more time, more work. Enthusiastic about Ancelotti’s work, who will try to take the team to the sixth on North American, Canadian and Mexican soil, the president of the CBF, Samir Xaud, did not hide his joy and satisfaction with Carlo Ancelotti’s contract renewal.
“Today is a historic day for the CBF and for Brazilian football. Carlo Ancelotti’s renewal represents another firm step in our commitment to offering the five-time world champion team an increasingly stronger, modern and competitive structure”, highlighted the director. “We work daily to keep Brazil at the highest level of world football, while paying close attention to the development of other teams, competitions organized by the CBF and the strengthening of clubs and federations across the country”, concluded Xaud.
Brazil is in Group C and debuts in the World Cup on June 13th, against Morocco. The team faces Haiti (19/6) in the second round and ends its participation in the qualifying phase against Scotland (24). .
In command of Brazil since May 2025, Ancelotti led the country in 10 gamesadding five wins, two draws e three defeats. The team noted 18 goals e suffered eight.
