Datafolha: Lula and Flávio lead rejection with 47% and 43%; Zema has 15% and Caiado 13%

In addition to the highest rejection rate, the current president and senator also lead in recognition rate

President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) and senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) lead in rejection among the presidential candidateswith 47% and 43%, respectively, according to the Datafolha survey released this Saturday, 16th. The numbers remain stable in relation to the previous survey, in April, when Lula had a 48% rejection rate and Flávio, 46%.

The Datafolha survey was carried out between Tuesday (12) and Wednesday (13), with 2,004 respondents in 139 municipalities. The maximum margin of error is two percentage points, plus or minus, with a 95% confidence level. The research is registered with the TSE with code BR-00290/2026. Most of the interviews took place before the exchange of messages between Flávio Bolsonaro and former banker Daniel Vorcaro was released.

According to research, the former governors Romeu Zema (Novo) and Ronaldo Caiado (PSD) recorded respective 15% and 13% rejection. The responses still show rejection of 20% for Ciro Gomes (PSDB), 14% for Cabo Daciolo (Mobiliza), 12% for Rui Costa Pimenta (PCO), 11% each for Renan Santos (Missão), Aldo Rebelo (DC) and Samara Martins (UP), 10% for Augusto Cury (Avante), and 9% for Hertz Dias (PSTU). They reject all or wouldn’t vote for any 2%, while 2% say they don’t know and 1% would vote for anyone or don’t reject any.

In addition to the higher bounce rate, Lula and Flávio Bolsonaro also lead in recognition rate. The Datafolha survey shows that only 1% say they do not know the PT member, while 5% say they do not know the son of former president Jair Bolsonaro. Zema and Caiado are unknown to 54% and 53% of respondents, respectively.
