A mother accuses her ex-partner of taking her daughter when she was just 1 and a half months old, without any explanation. She says she was prevented from breastfeeding and seeing the baby for four months.
They met on social media and, shortly after, in April 2023, they started dating. They lived separately, each in their own house, but were already making plans for a life together, until everything changed. “Maria”, let’s call her that, discovers that she is pregnant.
When her daughter was born, she no longer had the power to decide.
The girl had just a month and a half when she was taken away from her mother. “Maria” couldn’t visit her, nor could she breastfeed. I didn’t know where I was or who I was with. She was completely removed from the baby’s life.
The court decided that the baby had to stay, initially, three days with her mother and three days with her father, to adapt. But later, the child spent a week with each person. Even with parental regulation, the mother continued to have no power over her daughter.
“Maria” wants to have full custody of his daughter. There are two ongoing processes in the courts: one for regulating parental responsibilities and the other for domestic violence.
O He tried to interview the baby’s father’s lawyer, who refused to talk about the case.
