The police charged three young men aged 19, 16 and 15 with the particularly serious crime of robbery with complicity after an attack on a 39-year-old man in Piešťany. The man ended up in hospital with serious injuries after the attack. The Regional Directorate of the Police Force in Trnava announced this on the social network on Monday.

On Friday (15/5) shortly before midnight, the trio saw a man in one of the restaurants in the city. “Under the pretext of sharing a cigarette, one of them was to lure him outside, where they were to brutally attack him together. During the fight, they were to take his wallet, from which they took cash, and then ran away,” clarified the police.
About an hour after the crime, the police found the persons and restricted their personal freedom. Due to the seriousness of the act, the regional investigator took over the investigation of the case. Based on the evidentiary situation, he charged the trio with the particularly serious crime of robbery with complicity. At the same time, he processed the proposal for their custodial prosecution. Pursuant to the law im may face imprisonment for ten to 15 years, added the policemen.
