She accomplished the mission, but herself fell into the clutches of the disease! Marianna Ďurianová joined Markíza less than two years ago. She accepted the lucrative post knowing that she would play the part of a prominent doctor, so to speak. The news star came to Záhorská Bystrica to cure the unpleasant cough of her seasoned colleague Zlatica Švajdová Puškárová.
This chronic indisposition kept her away from the Televízne Novín studio, where she suffered for several months. Ďurianová replaced Puškárová, she even became the leader of the team of presenters, and the seasoned professional has since then devoted herself to the author’s project Zlaté talents with Zlatica.
However, a few days ago, the “healer” Marianna was breathed on by her own past, and it was not refreshing… Her own memories of her health problems, which once brought her to the front pages of newspapers, suddenly appeared out of the dark. The disease began to take hold in the middle of the busy working week, and it took a toll on the popular presenter. It is surprising that with hoarse speech and wheezing tones in her voice, the Marquise let her sit in the robot for several days and did not find an adequate replacement for her.
It was not the first time that Marianna tried to win at least a draw with respiratory problems. Eighteen years ago, she was asked to work as a model for the Czech designer Osmani Laffita. The fashion show was held under the open sky at Štrbské pleso, and the treacherous Tatras gave her an unwanted gift. Ďurianová’s business in the mountains ended with a violent coughing fit in the studio of Televízne Novín. “I’m sorry,” she still had time to choke, while her co-moderator Rastislav Žitný gallantly took charge of the situation.
A few years later, the situation was repeated, only the scenery was different. Marianna cut in the public Sport when her vocal cords declared obedience. Over the weekend, Marianna again “enjoyed” marquis déjà vu and “that second time”. The report about cheering Slovak hockey players, whose matches are shown on TV JOJ’s screens, focused the most on this. “I have to admit that I am also such a critic and ‘coach’ that I like to comment on hockey. Those who are close to me at that time are probably not very excited. But, Mary, you have a voice as if you were cheering,” reported Jaroslav Zápala, saying that he was referring to Ďurianová in a broken voice. “Yes, maybe it was a result of cheering. I applauded our boys quietly. Unfortunately, it looks more like a virus,” reported Marianna, who was supported by her colleague with words and hoping to manage the unpleasant situation.
While male support was evident, the breadwinner and colleagues of the prominent patient remained out of sight. According to the television archive, Ďurianová was pulling a weekly job despite the fact that bed, warm tea and vocal rest would be better for her. The blonde alternates with Lenka Vavrinčíková in the news, and when necessary, Danica Nejedlá also used to pop in. Just recently, television did not hesitate to pull Ivana Zuzelková by the leg from her parental leave.
