The Vienna North Bridge will be completely renovated in the coming years. The motorway connection, which is used by around 110,000 vehicles every day, will not be completely closed. Instead, some traffic will be redirected via the neighboring Steinitzsteg, which is currently reserved for pedestrians and cyclists. The latter have to temporarily switch to the Floridsdorfer Bridge, with new cycle paths intended to make the detour easier.
