Trump says he will ‘soon’ announce deal with Iran and says Hormuz will be reopened

According to the Republican, the agreement was extensively negotiated, but still depends on finalization between the United States, Iran and the other countries involved.

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, shared this Saturday, 23, through Truth Social, details of what he called “an important call in the Oval Office of the White House with leaders from the Middle East” to discuss a memorandum of understanding aimed at peace with the Islamic Republic of Iran.

“The final details of the understanding are still under discussion and should be announced soon”, he highlights. Among the main points of the agreement, according to Trump, is the opening of the Strait of Hormuz, a strategic route for global oil trade.

The Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, participated in the conversation, as well as representatives from the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Pakistan, Turkey, Egypt, Jordan and Bahrain.

According to the Republican, the agreement was extensively negotiated, but still depends on finalization between the United States, Iran and the other countries involved. Trump also revealed that he had spoken separately with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in a call that he called “very positive.”
