Zurich/Freiburg – The USA have preserved their quarter-final chances at the Ice Hockey World Cup. The US team defeated Hungary 7-3 in Group A and would advance with a win in regular time against Austria on Tuesday. Matthew Tkachuk shone with two goals and two assists, Tommy Novak added five assists. In Group B, Norway has already made it into the round of the last eight. After a 4-1 win against the Czech Republic, the Scandinavians even secured second place in Group B.
