On Thursday morning, the Púchov police caught a brown bear cub near the kindergarten in Beluš. The village and its surroundings have been moving since Tuesday (May 26). Trenčín regional police spokeswoman Petra Klenková informed about it.

- During the search, the police regularly deployed a drone with thermal imaging and technology.
- On Thursday morning, the cub appeared near the kindergarten in Hlož.
- The policeman managed to catch the cub safely and hand it over to the emergency team.
According to her, during the past few days, the police officers searched the area intensively even during their off-duty time. During the search, they regularly used a drone with thermal imaging and worked closely with the brown bear response team.
“On Thursday morning, we received information that the cub was moving near a kindergarten in the local part of Hloža. A representative of the District Police Department in Púchov immediately went to the place, to whom the bear cub was safely caught,” the spokeswoman added, adding that the intervention team for the brown bear is also on its way to the place, which will take over the cub.
