Anyone who wants to buy an apartment with lake access on Lake Wörthersee today has to dig deep into their pockets: according to the Carinthian real estate agent Günther Seidl, who specializes in lakeside properties, starting prices are now around 14,000 euros per square meter, and in absolute top locations even up to 25,000 euros are possible. Properties that were sold for 1.5 million euros around 15 years ago now sometimes cost seven million euros.
