Pact Against Hunger meets with presidential candidates – 05/31/2026 – Panel

The Pact Against , a non-partisan organization that brings together entities from different sectors, will have meetings starting in June with pre-candidates for the Presidency to discuss proposals to combat hunger and food insecurity.

Meetings have already been scheduled with (), () and (Novo), and one is expected to be scheduled with President Luiz Inácio da Silva (PT).

During the meetings, the executive document “Invitation to a Pact Against Hunger” will be presented, which summarizes the proposals defended by the organization, in addition to gathering information on food insecurity and food waste in Brazil.

The text to be delivered to pre-candidates says that, although Brazil has left the Hunger Map this year, the situation is still far from ideal.

“These are important advances, but the problem has not been resolved. Official national data show that 54.7 million Brazilians still live with some degree of food insecurity”, states the organization.
